Autism Support at Southside

We're supporting World Autism Awareness Week 29 March - 4 April
Did you know that one in 100 people are autistic? Despite this, people with autism still face huge barriers and discrimination in the workplace and society as a whole. At Southside we have commited to creating a pleasant and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Read on to find out what we're doing to support our autistic colleagues and customers.

Here at Southside we understand that all of our customers have unique needs, and that for some, help in pre-planning a visit can reduce anxiety and ensure you make the most of your day. We are a busy shopping centre, but we do have quieter times, and help is on hand should you or family members need further support.
For customers with autism, we have the following services available:
- Hidden Disability Lanyards
- Quiet shopping hour everyday between 10am and 11am
If you need to pick up a Hidden Disability Lanyard whilst visiting, please approach a member of our security or cleaning team and they will be able to assist you. Alternatively, call ahead of your visit 020 8870 2141 and speak to a member of our team who will help support you with your visit.
We're here to listen and improve
We are commited to improving our autism services. The Beyond Autism charity and AccessAble have helped us to identify areas we still need to improve. See below our timeline of improvements and if you have any feedback for us please contact us and let us know, we're here to listen and improve.
