Hi again Lillie! For Southside’s Virtual Kids’ Club, she’s making ladybugs out of egg boxes and she invites you to learn a rhyme about polka-dot ladybugs. Enjoy!
You will need:
- Egg carton
- Glue Stick
- Felt Pens or Paint
- Pipe cleaners or straws
- Paper or card
- Googly eyes - optional
Cut the egg cartons into individual cups. You might need help with this from a grown up. Paint or colour in the egg cup red.
Cut a circle shape out of paper or card for the face. Colour or paint this black and draw the eyes, or stick on googly eyes if you have these.
Cut up the pipe cleaners or straws to make antennae, if you don’t have these, cut some paper, colour this in black and roll up.
Using a sharp pencil, poke holes through the front of the egg cup for the antennae. Ask a grown up for help with this. When you have finished this, stick the face on the front of the egg cup.
Finish by drawing spots on the egg cup to complete your ladybird.
